Day two of the
Burton New Zealand Open, and the
Japanese young guns are taking charge. Halfpipe qualifiers were today, an on the men's side, 14 year old Taku Hiraoka out of qualified in the first spot while 15 year old Hikaru Oe took the top qualification on the women's side.
Okemo's Benji Farrow continued his solid run, qualifying third in the pipe after snagging the top spot in Slopestyle yesterday. Riders will run with some big names like
Stratton's Louie Vito,
IPod, and
